The MMA Offshoot
Now that things have settled down from that surprising morning a few days ago, I have come to realise that I do need to get back to my roots and create a new site for my more serious side (yes, I have one of those). With that, I have created a new MMA blog, titled MMA In Practice, that will house my Interviews and Job Market Demand stats, and possibly some other categories from this blog depending on how I go with the planning.
If you have read any of those categories, you will come to realise that they are lengthy, thorough and gets right into the heart of what I do. I have a million reasons why I haven’t had a chance to really follow these areas up, some of the more recent ones include:
- I just entered another ‘challenge’ similar to this and this;
- I’m doing some self-study – Ruby on Rails, HTML 5, CSS etc. I now have the skeleton of a web app up and running;
- Work, life, blah blah etc etc.
It’s an exhausting period but I will make time to create the new blog in order to give the identity back to the original MMA blog – and in the same vein, retain the identity of this blog. Here’s the split visuals:
On a side note, the pace of growth has slowed significantly for I Code Mountains post . I’m back to my normal 100 day avg visits per 3-4 posts (hey, it’s a tough to standout from the crowd out there). But a good thing about it is that the posts are at least read by a few more people and therefore chances of receiving a like is higher. Reminds me of option pricing; the posts are more sensitive since the 10 standard deviation event.
Happy Monday to some of you and a Happy Tuesday to others out there!
